01 TEACH THE TRUTHS
Universities need to take responsibility for their role in adequately educating future leaders and the public in the face of the climate emergency. Educational reform must prioritise climate research and education for students of all academic disciplines, whilst recognising and amplifying the knowledge of those long struggling for environmental justice.
02 ACT NOW
Universities must act on the research they produce and lead by example. By 2025 they must have minimized negative impacts through rapid transition to carbon neutral, sustainable campuses and divestment of endowments, whilst maximizing positive impacts through educational reform that diversifies climate knowledge.
03 A NEW POLITICS
Universities must use the research, knowledge and theories they produce to support People’s Assemblies, to guide democratic policy change on climate and ecological justice. They must also recognise student and staff led assemblies that will guide the actions taken to achieve our demands.
